Adolf Hitler Assassination Attempt: An assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler was carried out by a group of German officers intent on overthrowing the Nazi regime. However, the attempt failed and Hitler survived the attack.
3. July 20, 1969
Apollo Program – Neil Armstrong Becomes First Man to Set Foot on Moon: United States astronaut, Neil Armstrong, became the first human to set foot on the surface of the Moon during the Apollo 11 mission.
He famously said, “It’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

4. July 20, 1976
Entebbe Incident: An Air France passenger plane that was on a flight from Tel Aviv, Israel, to Paris, France, was taken hostage by Palestinian terrorists and taken to Entebbe Airport in Uganda. The Israeli military operation, known as Operation Entebbe, was carried out to free the hostages.
